Welcome to Rutgers University Chabad House, the hub of Jewish campus life and home of the largest student group on campus. Located at 170 College Avenue, in the heart of the busy New Brunswick Campus, Chabad House has been the centerpiece of Jewish life at Rutgers University for the last 40 years. This year is especially meaningful at Chabad House, for it is celebrating 40 years of service to the Rutgers University Jewish student community.

Tomchei Shabbos of Middlesex County has been providing Shabbos and Yom Tov food packages to needy families in the Highland Park, Edison and East Brunswick communities since 2009. We help ensure that, even in difficult times, every family in our community has food to put on their table each Shabbos and Yom Tov.

bikur cholim.png

Bikur Cholim of Raritan Valley was founded in 1993 by a group of volunteers from the Highland Park/Edison area to support members of the Jewish community. The Bikur Cholim of Raritan Valley, in cooperation with the Vaad Harabonim of Raritan Valley, is a volunteer driven, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose goal is to help carry out the Mitzvah of Bikur Cholim with humility, compassion, care and sensitivity.

Bikur Cholim of Raritan Valley is a volunteer organization in the heart of Central New Jersey. We provide services within the communities of Edison, Highland Park, East Brunswick and New Brunswick, New Jersey and the surrounding areas. We offer ancillary services to hospitalized and homebound patients and their families. In addition to supporting members of the local community, Bikur Cholim of Raritan Valley serves all Jewish families seeking medical care in the area hospitals and facilities.

Hatzolah.jpg

Hatzolah – Hebrew for rescue – is one of the largest volunteer ambulance services in the world.  Hatzalah’s two-tiered response strategy, using First Responders and ambulances, means that fully equipped and trained emergency care providers are at the scene, typically, within two to four minutes.

The secret to Hatzolah’s success is that Hatzolah’s volunteers work, pray, study, shop, sleep, and go about their ordinary lives while being constantly on-call.  They carry their two-way radios 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Since our inception, Chevra Hatzolah of Middlesex County has been directly responsible for saving a great many lives.

meor AT RUTGERS

What began as a Jewish mentorship experiment on a single university campus has quickly grown into a masterwork of Jewish engagement operating on 21 prominent college campuses across the country and beyond.

Launched in 2005, MEOR’s unique brand of Jewish leadership training, sophisticated text-based study and experiential education programming highlights the importance of Jewish values, identity and community. In just over a decade, MEOR has impacted more than 18,000 undergraduate students, encouraging them to connect with Judaism on their own terms and in their own time.

In 2016, MEOR established post-university programming to ensure that its alumni would have a familial Jewish framework for sustained growth as young professionals.
